I exploit Mission Management Areas to separate the totally different purposes and initiatives I am engaged on. So, e.g. desktop 1 is e mail; desktops 8 and 9 are for various prospects, and so on. And I exploit ctrl-number keyboard shortcuts to change between desktops/Areas.
Principally this works positive, however typically after I swap again to a desktop, macOS instantly switches again to a unique desktop (and never essentially the one which I simply got here from).
It appears to be tied to a selected desktop: e.g. if it is desktop 1 that is the issue, I can swap to any of desktops 2-9 in any order with out drawback, however each time I attempt to swap to desktop 1, it instantly switches away once more.
The one repair I’ve discovered is to press Ctrl-Up and explicitly choose the desktop I wish to use to.
Has anybody else skilled this and, extra importantly, discovered tips on how to stop it from occurring?
macOS Sonoma 14.2.1, however I have been intermittently experiencing this for years.
